Phoenix Road Trip with Mazda

Thank you Mazda for making this post possible.

When I found out our beautiful family friend was getting married to her high school sweetheart, I was beyond excited. I’ve known Samantha since she was 8 years old, and I couldn’t wait to introduce Kyle to her and meet her new husband. We originally planned to fly from Las Vegas to Phoenix (1 hour flight) but after some thinking we thought a road trip was just what we needed.

We both drive A LOT around Las Vegas, probably over 150 miles a week combined. I suggested we get a rental car for our trip and a few days later we got in contact with the Mazda team! They asked us a few questions about our trip and within hours our rental car was scheduled to be delivered to our door on Friday night. Take a look at this incredible ride!

Time To Cruise!

I knew right away this was going to be so fun to drive! Did I mention it is a hard-top convertable?! Our trip started at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, we grabbed some coffee and hit the road. The drive was going to take us about 4.5 hours, and if it wasn’t approaching 90 degrees in Arizona we would have had the top down the whole ride. I was in love with the interior and touch screen monitor. We jammed out with the XM radio and couldn’t believe how comfortable the seats were.

After a smooth and comfortable ride, we made it to our hotel in Phoenix with a few hours before the wedding. Kyle and I relaxed for a bit and already couldn’t wait to get back in the Mazda and cruise around town.

The wedding was magical! The ceremony started just before sunset and shortly after we were ready to dance the night away. Oh, and I caught the bouquet!

Next Stop: Scottsdale, AZ

The next day we decided to extended our trip a few hours and stopped in Scottsdale for some lunch. Kyle has never been and I really wanted to show him around Old Town and take a peek at the houses and neighborhoods. I looked up a few craft spots and found Fram&Craft, it was soooo good! I got the steak and sweet potato bowl and Kyle got the farm burger.

We didn’t want the trip to end, we were so bummed that we had to leave. But, I was totally looking forward to jumping in our sweet ride. On our way back in to Las Vegas, we stopped on the strip and headed to the top floor of a parking garage. We wanted to catch the sunset and a few last awesome photos with the Mazda!

If we weren’t saving to buy a home right now, I’m not going to lie… I think I would have to check one of these out at the dealership.  There is something about being able to have the top down and watch and Arizona sunset on the open road. Let me know if you guys have any cars that you are head over heels for? What is your dream car?
